The Club was started in 1995 by Anita Williams and has met every week ever since then. Many dogs and handlers have come and gone and some come back again with their new puppies ready to go through it all once again!
Dogs of any type, age or ability are welcome and we will do our best to guide you as to how to get the best out of your dog. Some Members come once a week and others come twice, it is entirely up to each Member. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Friday evenings through out the year, and should we be forced to close Members will be notified through this web site, if not in person.
All instruction is given by qualified Instructors who have all undergone the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers rigorous training and qualifying standards. All training is done by the "learn and treat" method, that is rewarding for doing what we ask.
We are very proud to say that every penny profit goes to Dogs Trust. We have two sponsor dogs, Lexi and Woody, both in Dogs Trusts' Merseyside Centre. In the summer we try to send that centre a lump sum of at least £200 and at Christmas we send another lump sum down to Head Office in London. These amounts are raised from class fees and raffles after we have paid our rent etc! Thank you for your support past and present Members.
